Visibility up and down that block has been greatly reduced with the construction fence and the parked trucks - and the sidewalk on the opposite side is so poorly lit.

Wish they'd brighten that corner up a bit during construction.

There must have been two muggings that night near that same area. One instance I heard that the guy got away with the bag. In the other, he was chased down and he threw the bag before he got away. The first was at Jersey/2nd. The other Erie/Bay.

The woman chased the man down, but lost sight of the man at the Villa Borinquen Apartment Complex on 4th and Manila streets, reports state.

Two witnesses said they saw the man changing clothes in the parking lot before leaving the area, reports state.
