And, also remember, if you are voting for Healy, the last date to mail your ballot is June 1, 2013.

I know this sucks and should be more efficient on the BOE's part. However, please call them today. Ask them to look up your application - they should be able to look it up and tell you exact dates on when it was received, processed and mailed out to you.

Division of Elections
(201) 369-3470 Option 6

If you can go in person - do that. They are open on Monday from 9am-3pm (closing early). They will give you a ballot there in person.

They are also open today until 5pm. Hilda at the office is very helpful. You an get her on the phone too.

If you cannot get this resolved in time for election day, please make an effort to get to the polls. Take the screw up ballot with you. If they give you any flack about voting, call the BOE that day or ask a Fulop challenger if they can find someone to help you. We have legal help all day.

I'm all set - jcgirl has a problem. Not sure if it's intentional but definitely incompetence on behalf of Hudson County Elections. Many of us still haven't gotten sample ballots. I haven't checked the mail today, I expect it will be there.

Is anyone else still waiting for the sample ballot to arrive?

I contacted the State of NJ - Division of elections in Trenton. The woman that I spoke to said there have been many complaints from Jersey City. Unfortunately, the place to start is by contacting The board of elections - Hudson County 201-369-3435. The problem can then be escalated to the county prosecutor.

I got a phone call on Tuesday the 7th, early, and was also told the signature didn't match what they had on file! I told them that it was most definitely my signature. I got the vbm ballot yesterday, dropped it off at the post office this morning. I hope that my vote will be counted!

I applied for a vote by mail ballot and received one the other day. However, the ballot I received was for Ward D. This wouldn't be a big deal except that I am registered to vote downtown, I don't have a second apartment in the heights (or anywhere for that matter). Additionally, my envelope for the ballot has my name, current address, and correct ward (5 aka E, district 6) stamped on it...

The sample ballot I received in the mail listed my polling place as ward E district 6 PS3/Frank R Conwell School.

Is anyone else having this problem or am I alone?
