After the carjacker caused havoc throughout J.C. and came to a crashing stop in traffic the cops finally catch him in the cab and all he could say "you got me" he left a tremendous wake behind. It shouldn't be that easy.

A carjacker who crashed a stolen BMW X6 on Pulaski Skyway in Jersey City during a high-speed police chase, was arrested Saturday night after he jumped into a cab, police reports said.

Doremus Baker, 20. of Longworth Street in Newark was arrested and charged with carjacking, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a handgun, burglary, aggravated assault and eluding a law enforcement officer, aggravated assault on a police officer, reports said.

Jersey City police were flagged down at 9:48 p.m. on Bay street, and spoke to a 47-year-old man and his 37-year-old wife told them their BMW X6 had just been carjacked at Manila Avenue and First Street by a man who first pointed a gun at the wife and then at her husband's head, according to police reports.

While the carjacker pointed the gun at the wife, he yelled for the husband to hand over the car keys or he'd "shoot the b---," reports said. .

The husband handed over the keys, but not before the gunman struck him the head with the gun, reports said.
