That disconnect, Comey said, is not the public?s fault. ?It?s no fault of our own, and it?s not fault of the community,? he said. PS- I swear Comey and Healy said that with the redesign of the JCPD website there would be a real-time crime blog. I think that would be a good thing at least we can all know where and when a crime took place in JC. Hey maybe it would also be a good way to get witnesses , leads. Still hasn?t appeared on the JCPD ?blogosphere? yet.

(another JC crime that was NOT reported on in the JJ when it first happened) Jersey City police charge Newark man in carjacking at gunpoint of woman's BMW By Michaelangelo Conte/The Jersey Journal on January 21, 2013 at 10:20 AM, updated January 21, 2013 at 10:22 AM A Newark man has been charged with carjacking a BMW from a Jersey City woman on Jan. 5 at Lexington and Mallory avenues, officials said. When Jamell J. Ison, 20, was arrested in Paterson last Monday, he was found in possession of proceeds from the carjacking, including the victim?s cell phone, as well as a black mask similar to that described by the victim, police said.
