Just had a story about this on fox news. What a shame the poor guy that was assaulted was a senior citizen and is afraid the attacker might return.

Damn, who the hell would rob a store that early when there is no money in the register.
Sounds like some kid from Dickenson HS.

In surprise attack, customer beats Jersey City deli clerk, 62, over head with chair and steals $450, police say

By Tom Shortell
March 09, 2010, 6:45AM

When police arrived at the JBPR Deli, on Baldwin Avenue near Newark Avenue, at around 9 a.m., the deli owner was being placed in an ambulance and rushed to the Jersey City Medical Center, reports said.

A review of security video at the store showed a thin man dressed in black with white sneakers sitting at a table and eating Cheetos shortly after 8 a.m., report said.

At 8:22 a.m., when a customer left, the man got up, locked the door behind the customer, and then picked up a chair and repeatedly smashed it over the clerk's head,
reports said.
The robber then walked behind the counter and grabbed $450 from two cash registers and left the store walking north on Baldwin, reports said.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the police tip line at (201) 547-JAIL.
