Jersey City man attacked, robbed of cell phone outside his home

A Jersey City man was attacked and robbed of his cell phone outside his home Wednesday night, officials said.

The Irving Street victim, 45, was standing outside of his house at around 9 p.m. when three males approached and without saying anything one of them punched him in the face and stole his cell phone, reports said.

The victim said the males were between the ages of 18 and 23 and stood about 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-7.

The victim was taken to Christ Hospital for treatment of a possible broken jaw, reports said.
