Amen brother. Why buy a house if you change jobs every 5 years and need to relocate. A big issue with this recovery is that people can't relocate to new jobs because their houses are underwater. Renters don't have that issue and can relocate at the end of a lease.

Are you recommending everyone head to Las Vegas?

When no one wants (or can get the loan) to buy these rat traps in JC, then it'll be time to see the prices bottom...

Personally I'd NEVER tie up liquid assets (IF, as in my case, you have them) on a piece of RE that could be next to impossible to sell

It's listed as a 2 bedroom though. I still would think the location would merit a higher price.

Have you seen it? Why is it not underpriced given the location, sq. footage and parking spot?

Check this out! Isn't the price a little low being that it has a parking spot and is located across from Hamilton Park? Are they trying to start a bidding war or is the market THAT bad!

its probably up there as the cheapest under 200k. The set up is kinda neat, but once you put furniture in there, you're not going to be able to move.

My freshman dorm room was bigger. It looks like living in a jail cell.

as a prospective DTJC resident, i don't know if i see this as a good thing or a bad thing...on one side, property values are increasing, on the other so are taxes...i see a lot of rental/sales supply with demand dwindling which concerns me about long-term sustainable growth in RE in DTJC

This place is only 500 sq ft. How could it possibly go for more? In fact, at this price it's been on the market for months.

I remember this building when it was selling for $350,000 for the whole thing (6 years ago) -- it's now 'condo-ed'

Is this the cheapest one bedroom Downtown?
