If they are half built and not much has gone on they have probably run out of financing. My firm used to do a lot of that. We actually built quite a few places in Jersey City. Quite a few places owe us quite a lot of money too.

Remember with the light rail it doesn't join to the path card. So if you are going to Manhattan and need a metro card you know have to pay for three cards. I would add it up and decide if it was worth the extra cost.

it's the one you can see from the lightrail station. The boarded up windows have been there for a while, at least a few weeks.

So that's where liberty harbor north is, thanks for the info.

I lived there for a while and it is still very much a work in progress. The units on the Communipaw side are finished for the most part but as you move towards the north side they are in various stages of renovation which is probably what you are seeing boarded up. The developer put the brakes on selling them for a while and was renting, but now it seems that they are selling units and renting. The units are really nice but the neighborhood has a long way to go.

2) The foundry loft conversion by liberty state park lightrail(i think) looks to be abandoned? Some of the windows are boarded up with wood panels, and the place looks rundown. Those guys who paid 350-400k for a unit there during the boom must be pretty upset. i still sell them listed on the realtor's listings. Anyone know what's going on?
