Like a good wine it should be sipped slowly and savored. Steve Lipski, Honorary Irishman of the Year, after his fall from grace and Maryann Kelleher, Irishwoman of the Year, in the midst of a brawl at Mayor Healy's fundraiser the other eve both being touted as pillars of the community by this shameless group of politicos. Get real.

To the residents of Jersey City:

The past several years you have been good enough to participate in a long time Jersey City tradition, the ?One Block Parade?. This has become a very enjoyable time for many of the people of Jersey City. Many of the Hudson County and Jersey City departments participate and / or march in this short event. We urge you to again, to participate in this unique parade.

This year, as you probably know, P.J. Ryan?s Pub has discontinued operation at this time. The building was sold and the P.J. Ryan operation has moved out. In the spirit of tradition and our commitment to the people of Jersey City, P.J Ryan?s has elected to once again run the ?One Block Parade?, at our previous location.

This year, keeping with tradition, the parade will be on March 17th, Tuesday, promptly at 4PM. Please, the parade must start at exactly 4PM. We will be lining up on 2nd Street, east of Marin Blvd. and will march south on Marin Blvd. to 1st Street, where smaller vehicles can park and the larger equipment can continue down Marin Blvd.

Our Mayor, the Municipal Council, Hudson County Executive and Officers, Sheriff, Chief of Police, Police Director, Fire Chief, Fire Director, just to name a few, are invited and have been good enough to attend in the past. This year our Grand Marshal is CouncilWomen Mary Spinello, our IrishMan of the Year is Robert Byrne, Irishwoman of the Year, MaryAnn Kelleher, Irish PoliceOfficer, Ed Dolan, JCPD, Irish FireFighter, Chief Michael O?Reilly, JCFD, Honorary IrishMan, CouncilMan Steve Lipski, Honorary IrishWoman, Vivian Bifulco and Miss Colleen, The Ryan Girls.

Please, help make this event a success by spreading the word, marching and coming out and enjoying yourself. We sincerely thank you and look forward to being with you on Tuesday.

Thank You
Michael A Ryan
