Dojan/Ripple,

Good catches. I need to update the logic for Newark & Harrison - I will do it today. This is very helpful, thanks guys.

Nice website.

I randomly selected 9th St to Harrison, and found that the resulting route is not optimal: 9th St -> Hoboken -> Exchange Pl -> Harrison. Shouldn't it be 9th St -> Journal Sq -> Harrison?

Do you have plan to add a forum dedicated to Northern NJ/NYC transit, or even within all tristate area? That'll be cool.

Hey Guys,

I just finished a new site which aggregates a bunch of public transportation info in and around Jersey City. It has a tool which lets you search bus routes by origin (JC Neighborhood) and find all available destinations. It also has a PATH tool where you can specify your route and get schedule info (it also explains transfers and lays out multiple options when available).

Anyway, check it out and let me know what you think. Thanks

What a great website! Thanks Ken. I always wondered how to contact the local cab companies, since I can never find a cab in my neighborhood. This is badly needed. I hope the advertising funds it successfully. Good luck!

On the PATH page, you can't select Newark as a destination.

sweets - i updated info on route 126. thanks for the heads up. i havent subdivided the neighborhoods into hamilton park/van vorst bc not many routes operate in those neighborhoods so please search "grove street". If any new routes open up in those neighborhoods I will def. spin them off.

Hey,

I will check out that line tonight and make the updates. If in the future you ever come across a line I am missing please email me at info@jctransit.com and let me know. I am planning to check NJ Transit and the other bus co. sites once a month for changes, or just update and people feed me info.

Jitney's are tought, the companies are completely unresponsive. I got as many as i could but i know i am still missing some (esp. the bergenline route - if anyone has info on this please send). I am in contact with a few of the big guys and will be making periodic updates as they send me info on their routes.

Great website ? I love it! One comment- I know that there is a NJ Transit bus that goes around Hamilton Park to the NY PA weekdays only and that is not showing up as an option under buses. I believe that it is bus number 126 that goes through Hoboken first. Please let us know if you ever hear of any jitney buses going through HP!

During rush hour the schedule is less important bc the trains run at such a high frequency - what is important is knowing the routes and where to transfer to get to a specific destination or what your options are. During off-peak hours the trains run much closer to target. But yes, to Ian's point, the trains all leave the depot at scheduled times but may get hung up for a few moments at a station.

The PATH departs from a terminus on a schedule, but does not hold to the schedule after departing. That is, a train will leave World Trade Center on a precise time, but may arrive and depart early or late at Exchange Place and Grove Street.

i like the site but does the PATH really run on a schedule? it definitely runs more frequently than every 5min in the mornings. maybe late nights it runs on a schedule? if so i had no clue and this is great, but can anyone confirm that the PATH actually follows this timetable?

Thanks dude. Its a work in progress but I am hoping that users can help me fill in any gaps and get the kinks worked out. If you see that I am missing something or have a suggestion please drop me a line. Otherwise, enjoy!
