Some time ago, I was told that billboards in downtown are prohibited. I was helping a friend open a store, and this information didn't really bother me, in fact I thought it was a great law to keep the area looking nice.
Yesterday it was brought to my attention that downtown is now getting TWO 40x40 billboards on one of the old warehouse buildings along Marin Blvd.
How convenient, these billboards will be advertising Sandra Cunningham. The planning board will be approving this on April 3.
My question is as follows: - Am I overreacting in my reaction? - Doesn't this imply that Cunningham might be running for mayor? - If cunningham does this what is to stop others (other politicians) from doing the same and covering our entire neighborhood in billboards that are bigger than some apartments??????
If I'm overreacting I'll bite my tongue. On the other hand, if this is something that the neighborhood agrees is a problem I think we need to speak out.
