does anyone know what's going on in paulus hook in front of the liberty terrace building? there was a fenced in dog run type area directly in front of the building on the water that now seems to be under construction?

Roseland is now listing Marbella II on its website, which is probably what you are seeing. San Remo is planned for north of the Marbella lot.

The grass lot is absolutely tiny; I am guessing hotel expansion? Although it would be great if it was the San Remo.

If its in the lot north of Marbella, its probably either the hotel expansion or the San Remo. The hotel is supposedly getting some extra conference room space. The San Remo was originally approved along with the Monaco Towers.

Its not really that large; its scaled to the same size as the phase thats already been completed. Also I think 1 or 2 stories were chopped from the original plan. Those renderings may or may not reflect that.

does anyone know what silverman is building next door to the hamilton square building? they are currently paving a driveway for underground parking but there's an empty lot on that site as well. wasn't sure where to find info?

That area isn't going to be a forgotten backwater for long. Aside from the cast iron lofts, the van leer place project is planned for the area around Hoboken Avenue and the Hoboken side of is probably going to face some redevelopment in the next few years as well.

I love that forgotten backwater area over there, the road on the hill behind the hospital and all the abandoned wild areas along the train tracks. There are a lot of wild animals on that hillside and the whole area is a birdwatchers paradise. The fire department trains with their tower ladder truck over there once in a while. Until the advent of this new building, the only human inhabitants were the members of the Hoboken Motorcycle club in their odd clubhouse. Along with the odd cliff dweller homeless dudes in their hooverville on the hill. In the early summer the road at night, the one way road up the hill, is full of fireflies.

I like the look of 198 Van Vorst (at least from the renderings). I have seen the building rising from Liberty Harbor.
Is there any more info on this building aside from those renderings? Also, when is it supposed to be completed?

Just read 70 Columbus received tax incentives from the state. It's nice to start seeing some more projects popping up all over the city.
