When I sold and bought a condo in 2013, a rechargeable fire extinguisher was required. I was also required to notarized the form.

Since then, the fire extinguisher has lost pressure. Jersey City's Online Help Center told me to call the fire department. I spoke to the firemen in person at Grand and Van Vorst and they said that no fire department in Jersey City recharge fire extinguishers.

1. Where can I get it recharged? I don't have a car.

2. How much does it cost?

3. Why can't Jersey City require the other kind that is not rechargeable? Why should I keep spending money and traveling somewhere with something heavy?
