On a night when temperatures dipped into the single digits, residents of one upscale Jersey City apartment building faced a night without heat. The heat in building D in the Dixon Mills apartment complex was not functioning, the second time in weeks this problem has occurred, according to emails sent to residents and obtained by The Jersey Journal. One resident, who did not want to be named, spoke about the steps he had to take to cope with life without heat. "I have a space heater, so I just stay close to it," he said. "I can't really move around my apartment because it is too cold. I just stay in one spot." "We had the same problem just a few weeks ago," he added. One email sent to residents explained that there was a leak with the condenser water main loop in the building and said that the heat would be out from Wednesday at 4 p.m. until tomorrow at 8 p.m. However, a different email said that the heat would be restored by yesterday afternoon. http://www.nj.com/jjournal-news/index ... lls_bui.html#incart_river
