I've owned in Jersey City for 15 years and have never been handed a bill for an assessment.
Considering property taxes are going up 7.9% on top of the reval (whenever that happens) they wouldn't dare ask property owners to "chip in" extra.

We are in the process of purchasing a single family home in DT Jersey City. Is anyone aware if the sewer repairs that are being downtown will be assessed to home owners? or will that just be reflected in our taxes at some point? If it is going to be an assessment, has anyone received what their portion will be? Thanks
