Mortgage Choices...

Hi All,
I posted in the real estate section about a credit union but maybe I should try here to get more responses. I am torn between getting a mortgage from 1) A credit union - specifically Liberty Savings Credit Union 2) A Bank - The provident bank and Sovereign bank have good rates 3) Or NJ Lenders - which quoted me 3.87 for a 30 year fix. Any opinions - especially negative ones about any of these choices? Thanks

Though not Liberty, I had a great experience with a credit union loan. I financed a car through one. When I paid off the loan early, not only did I just have to pay the principle that was remaining without the interest, they opened an account for me and deposited the $650 that I accrued in interest by the early payoff. If the rate is reasonable, I say go for it.

Anything is better than a mortgage company. If the credit union doesn't work out then go to an actual bank.

Hi All,
Does anyone have a home mortgage from LSCU? They have good rates and I like the overall idea of a credit union. Any bad experiences?
