For on-street parking you'll need to get a JC parking permit. $15/year for residents. Franklin is zone 2 I believe.

Thanks for the advice everyone! I'll try street parking for a while. From what I can gather, as long as I'm diligent in not giving anyone a reason to break into my car, I shouldn't have a problem with theft.

I'll also look into joining the Riverview Neighborhood Association. It could be a good opportunity to meet a few people and become involved.

I can't wait to move to the Heights on March 1st!

Thank you again!
-Sean

If you were closer to the northern section of the Heights i may have been able to help with off-street parking but there is no sense for you to head up jst to park and then head back down. On-street parking is just as good but take ^^^their advice and do not leave any important items inside your car. The Heights isn't the most crime ridden area but things can still happen.

Yes leave nothing in your vehicle make it look like you just took it out of the showroom...empty. Also join your local block association. Riverview Neighborhood Association meets on the second Tuesday of the month on Franklin and Ogden in the nursing home. And the Heights Police Captain's Meeting is the third Thursday of the month at #28 school on Hancock Ave. between South and Bowers.

I live a few blocks away from your place and I street park every day. I get home around 6:00 pm and find a spot within a block or 2 of our house. I think at 4:30 you will no have problem. School will be out at 2:45 so you won't be dealing with that and most people arrive from work after 5. I say, give street parking a chance and if it doesn't work out, then look for a paid spot. One tip though.... never ever leave anything in your car, especially a GPS or a GPS mount. Welcome to the Heights!

Hi everyone,

I found a great place near Franklin St & Sherman Ave, but I'm not sure what parking is like in the area. I visited the apartment 3 times now and have found a spot right in front of the building, but I have a feeling this is not normal.

Do any of you know what parking is usually like in the area? I'll be getting home most days around 4:30pm.

If possible I would like to rent a dedicated parking spot. Any ideas on how do I go about finding one?

Thank you,
Sean
