JERSEY CITY, NJ — Jersey City celebrated Arbor Day by planting 176 new trees throughout the city.
Last week's Arbor Day celebration highlighted the city's 'City of Trees' initiative and planted a variety of trees including Oak, Maple, Linden, Sweetgum, Lilac and Cherry blossoms. Of the 176 trees planted, 88 were planted in the newly reopened Riverview Fisk Park.
