I can't hear the AC unit from where I live, but I have certainly heard it while walking by McNair and can understand how it would be a disturbance.

Is anyone else near McNair getting annoyed with their new AC unit's loud whine? It makes it hard relax in the yard or to sleep with the windows open. I'll bet people blocks away are hearing it and not knowing what it is. Combined with the 1/2 hr diesel generator test Fridays at dinnertime, they're giving the Music Box competition for worst noise neighbor.
Maybe if it isn't only me we should try and talk to them. I've tried talking to them about moving the generator test time earlier in the afternoon where it used to be and gotten nowhere.
