Jersey City 7-year-old's cycling event raises $60K to fight cancer

A Jersey City 7-year-old who lost his mother to cancer five years ago has raised $60,000 for cancer research with a kids-only bicycle event this weekend.

Roughly 150 kids have registered for the Cycle for Survival event at Primary Prep Elementary School in Jersey City, where organizer Ethan Sandlofer is a student.

The money raised from the Feb. 22 indoor cycling event will go to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
