Thanks user1111! I thought the walk from Danforth Light Rail is much longer. 5 min is not bad at all - I can do that.

Maybe I'll see u tomorrow at bowling!!! I'm the one that's totally un-coordinated and have the kiddie rails on the side

The lightrail to Danforth seems to be the most easiest way by public transportation. which includes a 5 min walk. I take cabs from Grove to my place which is about 8-10 dollars but the bowling spot is closer to Bayonne and a little further up so my guess is about 12-16 dollars.

As far as buses, the only bus that I know of that comes this far up from downtown is the 81 bus which you can catch @ Jersey ave & Montgomery. Take the bus to Old Bergen Road and Merritt with a 5 min walk to Garfield.

Have fun! If you are there on a Sunday maybe I will see you there :)

What is the best way to go from downtown JC to the bowling center at 1 Garfield Ave, via public transportation? I've checked Google Maps and I can either take a bus or the light rail - but I'm wondering if there are ways of getting there that is not shown in Google Maps (e.g. Google Maps doesn't show the Montgomery-Westside bus).

Also, if I were to take a cab from the Grove Str PATH train station to there, anyone know how much it would cost approx?

I have a bowling voucher that's expiring in 2 weeks that I want to use up

TIA!
