Thanks Kitcat for the recommendation. I will give them a call. Did you have problems with your house sewer main to city sewer?

For a camera inspection I highly recommend Bill of Affordable Sewer Cleaning. He is fabulous 201-562-2395. We learned so much from him!

Hello fraulein3

Any updates on which contractor(s) you used for the sewer main run? I am in downtown and looking to get the house clay sewer pipe to city main replaced with pvc or cast iron.

During some heavy downpours, sewer backs up a bit in the basement. I had a friend of a friend who is a plumber told me not to have a back water valve installed until I knew the backups was from the city sewer. He said to have the main line from the house to street jetted since its probably clogged with grease and stuff and then video camera for pipe inspection. So I recently had the sewer lines from the house jetted to the city sewer main. This didn't help as I still get backups during heavy rain. Can anyone recommend a sewer video camera service other than Roto Rooter?

Thanks for the help.

Simpson Contracting did a major job down the street from us- basement excavation and replaced sewer line, added a new foundation with sump pump and drainage.
