Nimbus on The Waterfront: Thursday, July 19th, 6:30pm:
Summer Dance Series on the Owen Grundy Pier, Jersey City

Nimbus serenades audiences at sunset on Jersey City's waterfront on July 19th with views of the Statue of Liberty and the NYC skyline. Experience Pedro Ruiz's Danzon, Vernard Gilmore's Tie the Not, Artistic Director Samuel Pott's Memo - supplemented by a cast of some of the top teen dancers in Jersey City from Nimbus' Teen Intensive, and a sneak peak of Pott's new work: The Glare From These Horizons.

July 8, 5pm & July 15, 5pm: Liberty State Park: North Cove Field
Family Performance + Kids Dance Jam w/ Scholarships Offered to Nimbus School

Join Nimbus for 2 family-oriented performances featuring dances telling stories from Brazil and from China! From Brasil with Luv, by Elena Valls, uses Hip Hop, Capeoira, and Samba dance to tell the story of a group of factory workers who make the best of their situation amid a changing political environment in their country. In Empty Pot, by Madeline Cantor, a girl learn the value of honesty in the face of peer pressure. Immediately following the performance, a Nimbus company member leads youth ages 5-18 in a pop-up dance class. 2 scholarships will be offered on each date to talented Jersey City youth dancers! Stick around after for live music concerts 6-8pm. Performance and concerts presented by the Jersey City Office of Cultural Affairs.

July 19th, 6:30pm: Owen Grundy Pier, Jersey City: Mixed Repertory
