Anthony Blunda over at AB Tees in the Heights has been talking about starting a silkscreen workshop. Shoot him an e-mail at abtees@verizon.net.

Hi Bill,

I was registered for this JC Art School class on relief printmaking:

http://jcartschool.com/classes/printmaking.html

They had to cancel the workshop because there was not enough people interested. I'm looking forward to taking if there's enough people signed up so thought I'd spread the word :)

I checked this in time for their summer workshops - looks cool, thanks!

A wonderful place to print is Robert Blackburn printmaking workshop on 39th Street in Manhattan...literally one block from the Port Authority bus terminal. Their monthly rates area really reasonable, there's a nice camaraderie in the place, and they give classes. Check it out:

Living in JC and taking in as many gallery shows as I can, I'm eager to explore my creative side and am on the Jersey City Art School's mailing list. There are classes around for drawing and painting, but what I really love is the idea of working in multi-media, collage, traditional wood block, or something with that sort of "feel".

Does anyone have suggestions for where to look to take classes - in JC or Manhattan? Alternately, aside from formal classes, are there informal "Meet Up" type groups?
