The Stories of Eric Carle - 3's and 4's - 10 weeks

Eric Carle?s iconic picture books are beloved by readers of all ages. In this class, parents will accompany their children as we read classics like The Very Hungry Caterpillar, as well as discover new favorites. Each week we will read a different book, and work on a corresponding art project. The children will work on both individual and group projects. We will study several artistic techniques, including collage ? la Eric Carle. The class will culminate in a reception for the artists!

Meets: Fridays at 4:30 starting September 25th, 2009, 1 hour

My Favorite Story - 2?s and 3?s - 5 weeks

In this class, parents will accompany their children as we read classic children?s books, including Corduroy, Harold and the Purple Crayon and others. Along with enjoying these wonderful stories, the children will be introduced to a different artistic technique each week, including potato stamping, making rubbings and collage. Parents will also receive guidance on encouraging their child in home art making.


Meets: Mondays at 10 am, starting September 28th, 2009, 45 minutes
