Thanks so much PubliusIII,
I already sing weekly with a non-church group, but the lure of Palestrina is strong, and if I could fit it in, I would. Also the commute of 2 blocks to rehearsal is appealing... :) Tess1

Thanks for your interest. I'll run it by our current director, Dan Pross. I think our next project is a Palestrina Mass for September and that would be a great project to get involved in. Publius

PubliusIII,
While searching for choral info on list I found this post -- can you say what the rehearsal schedule and etc is for singers at Holy Rosary? I don't have a LOT of time to commit week to week, but wondering if one can join in to sing for certain occasions (like the recent Haydn mass, for ex., which I am sorry to have missed) or if it is only available as a permanent/weekly commitment...? Ita (that is: thus it is, the latin mass pre-1968 as it was more less back to say 500 AD).

Full choir with chamber orchestra will sing Haydn's Missa Brevis, No. 7 in B Major this Sunday at 10:00 AM. Holy Rosary is at 344 Sixth Street. A special shout out to BrightMoment, Cankicker, and TRP3 who are all warmly invited to this Pentecost Mass that celebrates the birth of the Church.
Also called the little organ mass for the way in which the organ accompanies the soloist during the Benedictus. This is a joyful and beautiful work that telescopes the prolix Gloria and Credo while extending the Kyrie, Sanctus and Angus Dei during the liturgical action. Hymns and chants ancient and modern will also be sung. The men's schola will sing the propers from the Liber Usualis, that font of Western Music. See you there. Bring a friend. And btw, we are always welcoming new singers. Posted on: Today 11:45
