Jersey City will hold a parade tomorrow and a flag-raising next week to celebrate the 66th anniversary of India's independence.

The 66th Anniversary Indo-American Parade and Festival will start tomorrow at 11 a.m. at the Indian Market, located at the corner of Newark Avenue and Kennedy Boulevard.

From there, the parade will head to Leonard Gordon Park at the corner of Manhattan Avenue and Kennedy Boulevard, with the festival following the parade's end.

Next Thursday, members of the city's Govinda Sanskar Center and the Indian community will participate in a flag-raising ceremony at City Hall on Grove Street at 3 p.m.Resized ImageJC Indo-American parade.
