Dante Alighieri Society 562 Summit Avenue (between Newark & Pavonia avenues) Jersey City, NJ The parade will start at 11:00 am and finish at 1:00pm ending at the society's venue. The route will travel towards Journal Square stopping at the Columbus statue then continue down to St. Joseph's Church on Pavonia Ave. marching on Baldwin Ave. back to the starting point of the parade. After the parade, there will be a festival in the yard as well as inside the venue of the Society. They have food, entertainment, historical lectures along with wine and cheese making demonstrations, Most of the Jersey City ethnic festivals are held at Exchange Place but the Italian festival is the exception to the usual rule. Having the festival nearby their building makes it convenient to house the items and food for the parade and festival, which is why they hold it at their Summit Ave. location.
