Art House Productions announces a call for submissions for its 2009 JERSEY CITY ART TOUR exhibition.

This year?s theme is ?invention? and ?re-invention.? How do everyday objects become art? How do we use materials already in our possession to create something new and glorious?

Sculpture out of household items, music out of street noise, video art out of what we expect to see everyday?the sky is the limit. Explore that point where our mundane and dream worlds collide.

The show will be open for viewing Saturday, October 3rd and Sunday, October 4th, 2009 from 12pm ? 5pm at Art House Productions, 1 McWilliams Place, 6th Floor, Jersey City, NJ (SE corner of Hamilton Park in downtown Jersey City). There will be a closing reception on Saturday, November 7th, 2009.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Email a maximum of 5 images (low res files please) OR media sample/description by August 19th to Emily Helck, Visual Art Curator for Art House Productions: art@arthouseproductions.org

- Work must be professionally presented and ready to hang.

- Any additional needs for sculpture, sound or video installation should be noted in the submission.

- We ask all artists who display work in this show to sign up for a time slot for gallery sitting over Studio Tour weekend.

- If selected, artists will be required to assist in hanging the show.
