Boggiano, Yun not happy with $250,000 emergency contract for Regional Industries from JCIAFebruary 12, 2015 - Jersey City, Politics & Policy - Following a repot by Hudson County View regarding the Jersey City Incinerator Authority awarding an emergency contract to Regional Industries at an extra $250,000 for 75 days, Jersey City Councilmen Richard Boggiano and Michael Yun voiced their displeasure with the cost to taxpayers. As first reported by Hudson County View, the Jersey City Incinerator Authority Board of Commissioners approved an emergency contract for Regional Industries, LLC – the current waste collector for Jersey City – to perform “Solid Waste and Recyclable Materials Night Collection Service for the City of Jersey City” over 10 weeks and 5 days at an increased rate of $24,905.87 per week.
