‘Our goal has not changed:’ Jersey City maneuvering for Embankment park after negotiations fall through

A proposed linear park in Jersey City’s Historic Downtown is not yet dead.

In a study made public earlier this month, Jersey City’s planning division determined that the Embankment — a stretch of elevated land where officials hope to build parkland — could be designated for redevelopment and in some cases eminent domain to make the park a reality.
