Ex-Jersey City councilman sworn in as superior court judgeJERSEY CITY — Radames "Ray" Velazquez, the former freeholder and Jersey City councilman, is now a Hudson County Superior Court judge. Velazquez, who lives now in Kearny, was sworn in this morning by his brother, Hector Velazquez, a retired judge. "I am looking forward to working with another Judge Velazquez, who brings a wealth and experience in both the public and private sector to the bench," said Judge Peter Bariso, the county's assignment judge.
