What we know about Jersey City couple killed in apparent murder-suicide

JERSEY CITY ? Friends and neighbors gathered outside a Country Village home Monday afternoon searching for answers on an apparent murder suicide that left a married couple dead and three children without parents.

Henry Okongo and Lydiah Okongo were found inside 2 Mina Drive suffering from gunshot wounds, according to sources. The two, who were identified by neighbors, were found in separate areas of the home and were pronounced dead at the scene.

JERSEY CITY ? Authorities are investigating an apparent murder-suicide inside a Country Village home, sources say.

Police arrived in the neighborhood during Monday morning's rush hour commute and found a man and woman dead from apparent gunshot wounds on different floors of the home at 2 Mina Drive, sources with knowledge of the investigation said.

At least one child appears to have been home at the time of the shootings, the sources said.
