It's interesting listening to it because while everyone knows many crimes don't make the JJ it's surprising how many serious crimes you may think are newsworthy that don't get reported on.

what scanner app do you use? The one I had no longer picks up JCPD.

Four people, including two children, were shot in Jersey City on Sunday night, according to family members and reports.

Shots rang out at Wilkinson and Ocean Aves. around 9 p.m., hitting a 10-year-old and a 12-year-old, according to The Jersey Journal.

A 16-year-old boy underwent surgery at Jersey City Medical Center for a stomach wound, his sister said.

One of the victims was a 10 year old. Besides these four shot another man was shot three blocks away on Grant and MLK two hours earlier. After the second shooting police found a shot up car on Myrtle and Garfield.

After I found out about the second shooting I listened to my scanner app for a while and it seemed like a real busy night for police. They got alot of shots fired calls around the city but most turned out to be fireworks. There was a woman stabbed and cut on MLK and Fulton. Man climbing a fire escape with a gun on Van Nostrand and another man with a gun call (originally came in as a shots fired) on Van Horne and he fled into Booker T Projects. Robbery and assault on Newark and Kennedy.

Good Lord!

Has this area been marked for 'white' gentrification, with swank wifi enabled coffee shops and neat little popup farmers markets?

JERSEY CITY - A 12-year-old child was among four people injured in a shooting on Wilkinson Avenue Sunday night, multiple sources said.

The shooting was reported at about 9 p.m. outside a home between Ocean Avenue and Martin Luther King Drive.

Police sources say the 12-year-old victim was shot in the stomach. Two other victims were shot in the arm and stomach. A short time later, a fourth victim arrived at Jersey City Medical Center with a gunshot wound to his upper arm, sources said.
