Portion of Newark Avenue in Jersey City to be closed for utilities work
By Ron Zeitlinger | The Jersey Journal on September 23, 2015 at 4:40 PM, updated September 23, 2015 at 4:41 PM A busy stretch of Newark Avenue in Jersey City known as Little India will be closed in both directions during much of the day for the next two weeks, Jersey City officials said. The roadway, between Kennedy Boulevard and Tonnelle Avenue, will be closed from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. for "utility repairs" by United Water and PSE&G, Jersey City spokeswoman Jennifer Morrill said. The work, which began this week, is expected to be completed by Oct. 5, Morrill said, but if the work is completed earlier, the next phase of project on the roadway will begin. http://www.nj.com/hudson/index.ssf/20 ... art_2box_hudson_index.ssf
