I was at JCPenney and Staples last week. My credit card is okay.

I received an alert from American Express last night that "unusual" charges were hitting our account. Turns out someone skimmed our card and started charging on it over the past two days. All charges were made in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
The only place visited recently that was outside of our laughably predictable spending pattern was the Newport Mall. We went there on January 31st - and these charges started showing up February 13th. Just curious if anyone else is experiencing issues with their credit cards lately? American Express couldn't have been nicer about the situation and promised to follow up with us. We're not on the hook for the charges. It's just very, very disturbing.
