A Bayonne man who left his car unattended in front of a car dealership in Jersey City last night was shocked when he returned and his car was gone, Jersey City police said. The man, 43, told police he parked his 2007 blue Honda Accord in the front parking spot of the Hyundai dealership at 9:14 p.m. and left the car running, according to a police report. He then walked into the dealership, at the corner of Communipaw Avenue and Route 440, and when he returned, his car was gone, officers said. Nothing of value was in the car, but the 43-year-old's vehicle registration and insurance card were in the car's glove compartment, the report stated. Anyone with information about this incident should call the Jersey City Police Department's confidential tip line at 201-547-JAIL.
