Jersey City police responded to a robbery at a check cashing business on Grove Street Saturday where the thief made off with more than $5,000 in cash, police said.
A teller at the business on Grove Street between 1st and Bay streets was laying out cardboard around 9:50 a.m. to help customers enter the store when a man forced himself inside the building and said he had a gun in his jacket, police said.
