Drivers traveling east and west on Audubon Avenue in Jersey City will not be allowed to make right turns onto

Kennedy Boulevard at the red light between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., in response to safety concerns from neighborhood residents, Hudson County freeholders announced.

Freeholder Bill O'Dea said that residents in the area expressed concerns about pedestrian traffic at the busy intersection, especially students from nearby School 38 and New Jersey City University.
Jose Sieira, director of traffic and transportation for Hudson County, said he has put in a work order for the signs and they should be installed within the next month.

O'Dea added that he hopes time-specific rule will alert drivers to pay special attention to the regulation during these hours.
