A 29-year-old Jersey City man is facing kidnapping-related and burglary charges in New Hampshire along with two other men, the Sentinel reported. James J. Manning of Jersey City, Marcus Koritz, 19, or Brattleboro and Salahdin Trowell, 30 also of Brattleboro were arraigned Friday in the Windham Criminal Division of Vermont Superior Court, the newspaper reported. The three men are accused of kidnapping two women just before 1 p.m. Thursday in downtown Brattleboro, Vt. which shares a border with New Hampshire. Cops found Manning, Koritz and a third suspect, Jacobina Carter, 38, of Brattleboro in a car with the two women, the newspaper reported. Manning and Koritz reportedly forced their way into a house looking for a male friend of the two women who owed Trowell $400 for stolen heroin, they did not find the man but did find another man who owed Trowell money and Manning reportedly punched him in the jaw. Manning is charged with two felonies: aiding in the commission of a felony and burglary and held after he could not make his $1 million bail, the newspaper reported.
