A Jersey City woman was carjacked by two armed men on Ocean Avenue early Saturday morning, police say.

The woman, 39, of Wayne Street, was waiting in her Hyundai to pick up a friend on Ocean Avenue around 1 a.m. Saturday when a black-colored sedan with dark-tinted windows parked in front of her, reports said.

The woman said two men, one armed with a handgun and the other with a shotgun, approached her car and said, ?Get out of the car,? and then flung her out her vehicle, reports said.

This sounds like the typical GV crime, drug deal gone bad.

A 39-year-old Jersey City who reported to police that she had been carjacked last month is now facing charges that she fabricated parts of her story, police said today.
Keesha Brown, 39, of Wayne Street, has been charged with filinf a false police report, police said.

Brown originally told police that her her blue 2010 Hyundai was carjacked at gunpoint on Ocean Avenue on March 16 while she was waiting in her Hyundai to pick up a friend at 1 a.m.

She noted that two men, one armed with a handgun and the other with a shotgun, approached her car and said, "Get out of the car," and then flung her out her vehicle.

But after receiving a tip that Brown wasn't totally honest about the incident, police re-interviewed her. Brown then admitted that while the car was taken, it was carjacked from her boyfriend, police said.

Brown told police she reported being the victim in the carjacking because her boyfriend did not want to report the incident, police reports said. Police reports did not indicate why the boyfriend did not want to report the robbery.
