Jersey City police encounter gunfire, suspects running with guns, and fights near catering hall

Jersey City police responding to a noise complaint heard a barrage of gunfire nearby and arrested three men and seized three handguns after a chase Sunday, officials said.

Jakeem D. Gibson-Madison, 18, of Olean Avenue, Jamall Brown, 19, of Claremont Avenue, and Terick Rogers, 21, of Dales Avenue, were arrested at West Side and Pollock avenues around 1:30 a.m., a police report says.

Officers responding to the 300 block of Claremont Avenue on a complaint of loud music heard the gunfire and headed to Westview Court where they spotted Rogers and Gibson-Madison running, the report says.
