Eyewitness News Video
Saturday, October 24, 2015 11:53PM JERSEY CITY (WABC) -- Two teens were shot Saturday night in Jersey City, and now one of the victims is fighting for her life. Police say that at this point there are a lot more questions than answers. The shooting took place around 6:15 p.m. by Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive and Forrest Street. Police say a 16-year-old boy was shot in the shoulder, and a 16-year-old girl was also injured. It was unclear where the girl was struck, but she is currently in critical condition. Authorities say the teenage boy is in stable condition at Jersey City Medical Center. Eyewitness News talked to a man at the scene who claimed to be the boy's uncle. He would not say what started the violence or how his nephew was doing. He was visibly distraught and too upset to speak on camera. It is unclear if the two victims knew each other or if they were the intended targets. The investigation is ongoing, and the names of the victims have not yet been released.
