Officers pelted with bottles as they break up Jersey City bar fight JERSEY CITY - Jersey City police officers were pelted with bottles as they tried to break up a fight early Saturday that began inside a bar at 646 Newark Ave., the city's public safety spokeswoman said. When police responded, a large crowd was fleeing the area and bottles were thrown at the responding officers, said spokeswoman Jennifer Morrill. Additional units and Hudson County sheriff's officers responded and the crowd was dispersed, Morrill said. No one was arrested as it was unclear who had thrown the bottles at the officers, however, the owner of the establishment was issued a summons for maintaining a nuisance, she said. http://www.nj.com/hudson/index.ssf/20 ... as_they_break_up_bar.html
