From NY Daily News An on-duty Jersey City police officer is among 12 people injured as a speeding vehicle smashed into another at a Jersey City intersection. The driver careened into another vehicle and sent it flying onto a sidewalk at Ocean Avenue and Myrtle Avenue where it hit a female cop and others shortly after 8 p.m. Sunday, city spokeswoman Jennifer Morrill told the Daily News. There were a total of 12 people injured in the wreck, but it's not clear which of the victims were on the sidewalk or passengers. The speeding driver has been taken into police custody. A tow truck driver took away one of the vehicles involved in the night collision, a dented minivan, at about 10 p.m., a photo shows. At least five passengers including the officer were taken to Jersey City Medical Center while four were transported to Christ Hospital, NJ.com reported. Daily News - More
