The Jersey City Police Departments newly formed Shooting Response Team has arrested two men in connection to a shooting last weekend and has released the name of a third suspect still being sought, officials said tonight.

The team's investigation led to the arrest of Hassan Bolden, 21, at an apartment on Union Street, and Andrelis Villa, 23, at his lawyer's office. Both Jersey City residents are charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, police spokesman Bob McHugh said.

Luis Villa, 25, also known as ?Doughboy,? is still being sought by the police department?s Warrant Squad, said McHugh, adding that the two Villas are are brothers.

On Aug. 24 officers responding to a report of a shooting at 8 p.m. on Sterling Avenue found the victim lying on nearby Armstrong Avenue with a bullet wound to his abdomen, McHugh said, adding that he was rushed to the Jersey City Medical Center for emergency surgery.

?Our new Shooting Response Team has already begun to make Jersey City safer," said James R. Shea, the city?s acting Public Safety Director, in a statement. "These arrests have taken two dangerous suspects off the streets and the team?s good work will continue.?

The Shooting Response Team, also known as the Ceasefire Unit, investigates non-fatal shootings to gather evidence, preserve crime scenes and interview witnesses.

The team remains dedicated to a shooting case for 48 hours, which is key to a successful investigation. The team also partners with patrol officers to conduct ?hot spot? enforcement and to build working relationships with the community, McHugh said.
