(reminds me of the time years ago when someone used a stolen backhoe to rip out a cash machine from the wall of the PNC Bank on Westside and Danforth. They did it in the middle of the night, left a huge gapping hole in the bank?s wall.)

Jersey City police are trying to determine where looted and damaged ATM machine came from

Jersey City police are trying to determine the origin of a ransacked ATM discovered on Woodward Avenue Wednesday afternoon, officials said yesterday.

The ATM was found at about 12:08 p.m. by a soil consultant doing work in a vacant lot, a police report said.

Responding officers said the ATM was severely damaged and its front cover was broken, reports said.

It?s not the first ATM found recently in Jersey City. In June, an ATM was found behind a Communipaw Avenue building.
