Four Jersey City men were arrested in Greenville on charges they were attempting to burglarize a truck in the early morning hours today, officials said.
Officers responding to Linden Avenue at 1:04 a.m. and arrested Ali Husain, 24, of Stegman Terrace; Ravi Patel, 24, of Cottage Street; Sandeep Singh, 23, of Van Houten Street, and Brandon Callahan, 24, of Kennedy Boulevard, police reports said. All were charged with burglary, possession of burglary tools, hindering apprehension and receiving stolen property, reports said. Responding officers found Husain, Patel and Callahan inside the truck at the rear of the location and Singh was standing beside his car, reports said. When the men in the truck were asked who owned it, they said they did not know, reports said. Husain discarded the truck's key, which had a tag on it bearing the owner's name, reports said, adding that a two-way radio was found in the truck and a matching one on the rear seat of Singh's car. Patel had black gloves, Callahan had black gloves and a mask, and Singh was wearing a mask, reports said. In the trunk of the car was a duffel bag containing more two-way radios, gloves, a mask and a flashlight, reports said. The brother of the truck owner responded to the scene and told police the truck had apparently been stolen, reports said.http://www.nj.com/hudson/index.ssf/20 ... ey_city_men_arrested.html
