In case anyone was wondering if the ferry terminal would ever reopen, it's been completely dismantled. So in the past month, service has been cancelled on weekends to WTC and Exchange Place, and the Newport Ferry Terminal is gone.

The window was wide open - there was no window guards on it. Not all windows have guards on them in Newport, which they most definitely should.

I walked by 10 minutes after it happened and saw the body. Very very sad - my thoughts and prayers are with the family and Newport community. I hope we learn more about why and how this happened so we can somehow try to prevent from happening again.

I live in Newport and need to find a reliable place to get my car serviced for routine maintenance. I've tried Pep Boys but they are a joke and don't seem to care much. I haven't heard great things about Sears either. Anywhere else worth trying that's within walking distance to Newport?
