Re: Reputable Auto Body Shop

Can anyone offer a suggestion to a mechanic that's done work on their suspension? I think I need a new front left wheel bearing on my Mazda, but want to get it properly diagnosed.

I saw someone suggest A M Auto Body earlier in the thread, but when I drove by 6th St. yesterday it looked very closed.

Also going to need a place that can paint a panel for me once Spring comes around, if anyone has a suggestion there it would be appreciated.

totally agree with this...Erie is almost worse though because it's so narrow and people are always parked right up to the corners on every block. so as a pedestrian, you have to step off the curb and then like peek around the parked cars, vans, etc

side note: why does it always seem like it's a van or SUV parked right on the corner so you can't see anything?

I think I was charged $10 last week from Hoboken to Grove St. and 1st.

Speaking about the Jersey City cabs, I jumped in one a few weeks ago when it was raining and the guy was refusing to run the meter and wanted to charge me $10 for a $6 (TOPS) metered cab ride. Anyway, long story short I literally had to threaten the guy-by saying I would report him- to charge me $7. When riding in a JC taxi don't believe that "meter is broken" crap.

I lived across the street from that place (2nd St) for 6 months - it was horrible! It's nowhere near as bad as Ringside, but seriously this place is horrible and should probably be closed. There was a huge fight outside a few months back where I'd say 50-100 people filled out onto Newark Ave.

Anyone with any service updates? Have you seen them putting in new wires anywhere?
